Alexander Lucatero studied the Bachelor of Arts in Visual and Plastic Arts at the ENPEG “La Esmeralda”. In 2007, he performs the individual pictorial exhibition Introspective Search at the CDI Mexico. In 2011, he had a photo-performance project Habitando el plano. He participated in the collective traveling exhibit Local sights exhibited in Costa Rica, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Argentina, Guatemala and Mexico DF. He was a Fellow of the Young Creators Program (FONCA) in 2011-2012. In that same year, he was selected for the exhibition of the 5th Biennial of University Art of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico and also to participate in the exhibition of the National Encounter Of Young Art XXXII.
In 2013, he awarded the 2nd place of the Second Contemporary Photography Competition of Mexico. In that year, he realized the exhibition Paisajes Construcidos-Naturaleza Doméstica in the Main Gallery of the ENPEG “La Esmeralda”.
His work is part of the book Develar y detonar. Photography in Mexico ca. 2015 “, curator of Hydra, project of the Center of the Image, Fundación Televisa, editorial RM, and CENART. The exhibition was inaugurated at CentroCentro Cibeles, Madrid, Spain, at the PHotoEspaña 2015 festival, showing from June 2 to August 31. He later appeared at the National Center for the Arts, Conaculta, Mexico City, from October 24, 2015 to January 22, 2016. His work is part of Fundación Televisa’s collection.
