Paul Kooiker

It is one of the most recognized photographers of Netherlands. He studied at the Royal Academy of Arts at The Hague and the Rijksakademie Van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. Since 1995 he has been a teacher at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.In 1996 he won Rome's Prix and in 2009 he was awarded at A. Roland Holst Prize. Paul Kooiker's work has been widely exhibited including group exhibitions at the Elapolene of photographie, in Paris; Photohof, in Salzburg; Kumho Art Museum, in Seoul; Arsenale Novish, in Venice, Zabludowics Collection, in London. Between 2007 and 2009 he has published fourteen file numbers, a bimonthly magazine edited by himself and the gallerist Willem Van Zoetendaal.
