DYNAMIC PATHS: THE IDEA OF TRANSIT IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMAGES

In his text "What Children Say", Deleuze proposes the concept of an art-cartography, according to which there is always a trajectory, real or imaginary, in the work of art: "A map of virtualities (that) is superimposed on the real map whose paths it transforms". Thus, every work is itself a journey in which the path is confused with the subjectivity of those who travel it.
Based on this idea of art as a journey, this theoretical-practical workshop proposes a series of texts and exercises that allow participants to reflect on and experiment with the idea of transit in the creation of images.
Using various strategies of representation, signification and symbolisation, the participant will relate to the space and appropriate it in a personal way, in order to draw a kind of intimate and emotional cartography in which the experience of the real journey is mixed and transformed from an imaginary journey.

He studied a degree in Hispanic Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He studied a Masters in Visual Arts at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas of the UNAM. She participated in the Seminario de Fotografía e Investigación del and in Seminario de Fotografía Contemporánea, both at Centro de la Imagen. Her work reflects on the specular qualities of photography, as well as on the limits between reality, the image and the imaginary. He has participated in several group exhibitions in Mexico City and Valencia, Spain.

Send to firstname.lastname@example.org the registration form, minimum 15 and maximum 30 own and/or appropriate images (150 dpi approx. 1920px on the longest side, .jpg format or a PDF).
Each image must have the name of the author, surname and name of the series; example: Luis_Ruiz_paisajesperdidos-01.jpg and then attach them in a folder with the name of the author and the project. If you have an idea to develop during the workshop, send a description or proposal.
