Formerly, the Atocha station in Madrid was called the Mediodia station because it was the one located further south of the city. That place is the setting in which David Hornillos has developed his work between 2011 and 2014 during the central hours of the day. Midday features an absorbing orange brick wall bathed in vibrant light that, like a web, hopelessly attracts and traps all living things. With the color orange as the main protagonist, the work places the viewer in front of that wall and introduces him into a suffocating atmosphere, in a hypnotic state of mind.
