(Valencia, 1978) Hasan G. López Sanz holds a degree in Philosophy (UV) and Social and Cultural Anthropology (UNED) and a PhD in Philosophy (UV). Lecturer in the area of Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Valencia, he is also a lecturer and member of the academic committee of the Master's Degree in Photography. Art and Technique at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and curator of exhibitions. Hasan G. López develops his research in the field of the image, mainly photographic, its practices and public uses, especially in relation to Anthropology, in colonial and post-colonial contexts, aesthetics and contemporary art. During her doctoral and post-doctoral training she has participated in several research projects and carried out research stays at the Marcel Griaule archive of the Laboratoire d'ethnologie et de sociologie comparative of the Université Paris-Nanterre, at the Musée de l'Homme (Paris), at the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac (Paris) and at the Institut Interdisciplinaire de l'anthropologie du contemporaine (IIAC, UMR 8177, CNRS-EHESS) (Paris). He is a member of the University Institute of Creativity and Educational Innovations, of the research group in Critical Theory (GIUV2016-326) and director of the Visual Studies Group on the memory of Slavery, (Anti)Colonialism and its legacies at the University of Valencia.
