In today's society, faith and religion are no longer the focus of people's interest in pursuit of technology, information and consumption. However, as individuals, sooner or later, we are faced with the fate of searching for what gives meaning to our lives.
In "New Era", José Luis Cuevas explores this need, travelling through different religions, sects and cults established in various Latin American countries. Disturbing characters, mystical objects and landscapes in ashes, through a montage that advances the concepts of expiation, purification and rebirth. Good and evil, finite and infinite flow in eternal struggle. All this before a hypothetical rebirth of man, in the midst of the general malaise of a society spiritually weakened by its own evil and its own fears.
