The application of best practices in institutional photographic archives, private collections or personal archives is the best way to ensure the protection of this artistic and historical heritage. This diploma course aims to provide working tools for authors, specialists, researchers, archive staff and those interested in the management, study and dissemination of photographic collections.

Through the work developed in the different sessions, participants will recognise mechanisms of preservation and manipulation of collections, visual analysis and documentary sources, inventories, cataloguing, database systems management, copyright, curatorial, exhibition and editorial projects. Photographers will also encounter archival management strategies when incorporating them into their work processes.

The diploma course will include a program of four lectures given by special guests linked to different photographic collections.
During three and a half months, 3 modules will be developed in 15 Saturday sessions, from 9 am to 3 pm. From 26 May to 1 September 2018.
