(MEXICO) She studied a degree in English Literature at the UNAM, a postgraduate research degree (Mphil) in comparative literature at the University of Edinburgh and obtained a doctorate in literature with honours at the UNAM with a comparative study of texts by John Donne and Francisco de Quevedo. She is currently a lecturer in the Department of Translation and Interpreting at the National School of Languages, Linguistics and Translation at UNAM and in the Department of Modern Letters at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters. Her academic publications include topics related to comparative literature, European cultural history and translation. She is also interested in the interaction between textual and visual discourses, travel and migration literature and belongs to an interdisciplinary and inter-institutional research group on representations of Mexico in publications by German-speaking travellers between World War I and II. She translates from English, French and German into Spanish and from Spanish into English.
