(MEXICO) Ernesto Priani Saisó is a philosopher and digital humanist. He is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UNAM. He is director of the publishing project and digital research laboratory Biblioteca Digital del Pensamiento Novohispano, and of the academic group Marsilio Ficino. He is president of the Digital Humanities Network.Ernesto Priani Saisó is a full-time professor in the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He studied for a PhD in Philosophy at the same university, graduating with a thesis on the history of the subjective forms of pleasure. His work combines the study of Renaissance philosophy, particularly the Florentine Renaissance, with the problematic of the historiography of the history of philosophy and the exploration of the use of technological devices for research in the humanities. He is director of the publishing project and digital research laboratory Biblioteca Digital del Pensamiento Novohispano, and of the academic group Marsilio Ficino. He has been a visiting professor at Brown University in the United States, the Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and the University of Rome Three, and has published, among others, Los libros del Placer, Magia y hermetismo and De espíritus y fantasmas. He resentfully coordinated the translation and publication of the 900 theses of Pico della Mirandola (first translation into Spanish) and this year he published Una Mirada al Libro electrónico, written with Isabel Galina. He is president of the RedHD (Digital Humanities Network), a member of the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organisations (ADHO), the Global Outook Digital Humanities (GO::DH) group and the Virtual Humanities Lab at Brown University.
