(SENEGAL / MEXICO) Artist, art critic and museologist of Senegalese origin. Since 1975 he lives and resides in Mexico City where he studied a degree in Restoration of cultural property and a master's degree in Museology. He has participated in various cultural and artistic projects, colloquiums, symposiums, seminars, forums and national and international competitions on museology and art in Sweden, Cuba, South Africa and Mexico. He has also been part of countless cultural and artistic projects in the USA, Canada, Germany, Haiti, Cuba, Gran Canaria, Italy, Spain, to mention a few. He has published articles and essays in catalogues, books and specialized magazines in Mexico, United States, Germany, Canada, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, France, Cuba, England, Spain, Senegal and South Africa. As a museologist he has held positions as deputy director in three important state museums in Mexico City: the Museo Nacional del Virreinato, the Museo Nacional de Culturas Populares and the Museo Nacional de Antropología. As an independent curator he has collaborated in museums such as the Carrillo Gil, the Museo de Arte Moderno, the Museo Tamayo, the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Museo de Bellas Artes in Toluca, State of Mexico. He has taught museology and art history in the Masters in Museums at the Universidad Iberoamericana and other institutions such as the Casa LAMM in Mexico City. Since October 2004, he is coordinator of exhibitions and registration of works at the Antiguo Colegio de San Ildefonso where he has coordinated the curatorship of exhibitions such as Gaudí, "Ten blocks around the studio" by Francis Alys, Ricardo Legorreta, poet of walls and colour, "Portraits" by Mario Testino, "Revelaciones, Las artes en América Latina 1492-1820" Encuentro de Miradas: Guillermo Kalho, Henry Greenwod Peabody, René Burri, a world, Anni and josef Albers, travels through Latin America, Vik Muñiz, Reflex, Julio Galán, thinking of you.
