(MEXICO) An art historian, he studied at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and at the Art Department of the Universidad Iberoamericana. In the last 30 years, in addition to teaching, he has carried out research on Mexican painting and photography of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as on Popular Art. At the same time, he has curated for various museums in the country: Marco de Monterrey, Museo de San Carlos, Museo Nacional de Arte (Munal), Museo Franz Mayer, among others; he has been guest editor of the magazine Artes de México and for various publications of the Secretary of Culture of Jalisco. He was director of the Instituto Cultural Cabañas from 1994 to 2002 and is currently coordinator of the Casa ITESO Clavigero where he has held more than 40 exhibitions.
