"Hay pájaros en el alambre” surge de la exploración del archivo fotográfico de sus padres, una pareja de médicos que participó en la construcción de un sistema de salud comunitario en Chiapas, antes y después del levantamiento del Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional (EZLN), el 1 de enero de 1994.
"Hay pájaros en el alambre" emerges from an exploration of they parents' photographic archive, a couple of doctors who helped build a community health system in Chiapas, before and after the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) uprising.
"Desde esta doble mirada, la de la niña que fui y la de la adulta que hoy vuelve e interroga estas imágenes; exploro mi vínculo con mis padres, la memoria de un territorio en disputa y la persona en la que me fui convirtiendo entre esas imágenes, atravesada por los sucesos históricos y las formas en que estos siguen resonando en el presente".

Through a careful selection of their images—them at social protests, training community health promoters, everyday moments at home—and my rereading of these photographs, I seek to capture not only the significant moments of community life, but also the experiences and emotions of my own childhood, lived between resistance and its silences. From that double gaze, of the girl I was and the adult who today questions, I explore my bond with my parents, the memory of a disputed territory, and who I became among those images, shaped by historical events and their resonance in the present.

A través de la reapropiación de este material, mediante una cuidadosa selección y relectura de las imágenes, se busca capturar no solo momentos clave de la vida comunitaria, también las experiencias y emociones de su propia infancia, vivida entre la resistencia y sus silencios. Las fotografías registran la presencia de sus padres en movilizaciones sociales, procesos de formación de promotores de salud comunitaria y escenas de la vida cotidiana en casa.
