"Looking For Her" es una exploración meditativa de la identidad femenina, la naturaleza y la consciencia.
Arraigada en más de una década de fotografía de archivo y siete años de estudio espiritualen la India, refleja un lenguaje visualpoético que invita a la reflexión interna y al reconocimiento de uno mismo a través del mundo natural.
“Looking For Her” is a meditative exploration of feminine identity, nature, and consciousness.
Rooted in over a decade of archival photography and seven years of spiritual study in India, it reflects a poetic visual language that invites inner reflection and self-recognition through the natural world.

Partimos del convencimiento de que no podrá́ haber acción para una sociedad más justa e incluyente, sin que previamente se haya dado por parte de cada cual un trabajo personal a nivel de consciencia. El fotolibro “Looking for Her” explora la sensibilidad de reconocer-reconocerte en la naturaleza como reflejo de tu propio estado de consciencia, así́ como la relación que tiene con la fuerza creadora femenina, como Madre.
A partir de fotografías de archivo personal de más de diez años de registros fotográficos, y una inmersión de estudio espiritual oriental de más de cinco años, se elabora una revisión e investigación sobre las transformaciones de estados de consciencia y su relación con la naturaleza.
We start from the conviction that there can be no action toward a more just and inclusive society without each person first undertaking personal work at the level of consciousness. The photobook "Looking for Her" explores the sensitivity of recognizing—and recognizing yourself—in nature as a reflection of your own state of consciousness, as well as its connection to the feminine creative force, as Mother.
Drawing from personal archival photographs spanning more than ten years, and from over five years of immersion in Eastern spiritual study, the work conducts a review and inquiry into the transformations of states of consciousness and their relationship with nature.
“Desde niña he sentido una relación profunda con la naturaleza. En ella encontré un refugio: un lugar para pensar, para soñar y entretejer fantasías.
Looking for Her es un fotolibro que explora ese vínculo entre lo simbólico y los procesos internos. A través de la contemplación, descubro que lo que observo afuera también habita en mí.
El proyecto reúne más de doce años de trabajo fotográfico en el que la naturaleza se convierte en espejo. No es un libro sobre el recorrido, sino sobre la metafora, el misterio, el movimiento, la duda, la pregunta.
La fotografía ha sido, para mí, un medio de autoconocimiento y una forma de comprender el mundo. Este camino se nutre también de más de doce años de estudios de espiritualidad, primero en la tradición maya-tolteca y, más tarde en la india. Gracias a ello, empecé a relacionar los objetos y símbolos encontrados de manera sagrada.
“Since I was a child, I have felt a deep connection with nature. In it, I found refuge: a place to think, to dream, and to weave fantasies.
Looking for Her is a photobook that explores this link between the symbolic and internal processes. Through contemplation, I discover that what I observe outside also dwells within me.
The project brings together more than twelve years of photographic work in which nature becomes a mirror. It is not a book about the journey, but about metaphor, mystery, movement, doubt, and questioning.
Photography has been, for me, a means of self-knowledge and a way of understanding the world. This path is also nourished by more than twelve years of spiritual studies, first in the Mayan-Toltec tradition and later in India. Thanks to this, I began to relate objects and symbols found in a sacred way.
Imprimir el libro en India era esencial: quería que la vibración de sus árboles quedara inscrita en el papel. La portada retoma la geometría del Sri Chakra, vinculada a la Madre Divina, con un trazo sencillo que recuerda las pinturas tántricas antiguas. Las guardas se hicieron en papel artesanal y la tela de la cubierta fue elegida tras buscar cuidadosamente un material que reflejara la luz dentro del mundo onírico y monocromático del interior.
La edición consta de 300 ejemplares. El titulo y los textos principales están en Inglés, pues 100 de ellos fueron donados al Divine Mother Center en Laytonville, California, un centro espiritual dedicado al conocimiento de la Madre Divina, legado al mundo por Sri Kaleshwar, en el cual yo misma estudio.
Celebro la colaboración con Hydra y Ana Casas Broda. El libro puede encontrarse en su librería de tampico 33 y, muy especialmente en las ferias, donde Ana lleva los fotolibros y los lanza al mundo.”
Printing the book in India was essential: I wanted the vibration of its trees to be inscribed on the paper. The cover echoes the geometry of the Sri Chakra, linked to the Divine Mother, with a simple line reminiscent of ancient tantric paintings. The endpapers were made from handmade paper, and the cover fabric was chosen after carefully searching for a material that would reflect the light within the dreamlike, monochromatic world of the interior.
The edition consists of 300 copies. The title and main texts are in English, as 100 of them were donated to the Divine Mother Center in Laytonville, California, a spiritual center dedicated to the knowledge of the Divine Mother, bequeathed to the world by Sri Kaleshwar, where I myself study.
I celebrate the collaboration with Hydra and Ana Casas Broda. The book can be found at their bookstore at Tampico 33 and, most especially, at fairs, where Ana takes the photobooks and launches them into the world.”
