Fundada en 2015, Imageless es una editorial independiente de fotolibros galardonada, con sede en Shanghái, China. Mediante la producción de fotolibros de alta calidad y edición limitada, nuestro objetivo inicial fue aumentar la representación de fotógrafos chinos en la comunidad fotográfica global.

Si bien nos centramos principalmente en la fotografía china, también buscamos colaborar con algunos de los fotógrafos contemporáneos más prometedores y destacados del mundo para crear obras impactantes que combinen lenguajes visuales únicos con narrativas culturalmente matizadas.

Nuestra filosofía de descubrir nuevos talentos y ayudar a desarrollar las carreras de fotógrafos emergentes es la base de los premios anuales Imageless Dummy Photobook Awards (IDPA) y del proyecto Spark Zine.

En 2019, «The Eighth Day», del artista Gao Shan, ganó el premio «First Photobook Award» de la Fundación Aperture en Paris Photo. A enero de 2024, Imageless había publicado más de 30 fotolibros y organizado exposiciones, eventos educativos e intercambios artísticos internacionales por toda China.

Established in 2015, Imageless is an award-winning independent photobook publisher based in Shanghai, China. Through producing high-quality, limited-edition photobooks, our initial goal was to increase the representation of Chinese photographers within the global photography community. 

While focusing predominantly on Chinese photography, we also aim to work with some of the most promising and prominent contemporary photographers across the globe to produce powerful work that blends unique visual languages with culturally nuanced storytelling.

Our ethos of uncovering new talent and helping to develop the careers of up-and-coming photographers is at the core of the annual Imageless Dummy Photobook Awards (IDPA) and Spark Zine Project.

In 2019, 'The Eighth Day' by artist Gao Shan won The Aperture Foundation's 'First Photobook Award' at Paris Photo. As of January 2024, Imageless has published over 30 photobooks and held exhibitions, educational events, and international art exchanges all over China.
